Design and Technology
Design and Technology is a practical, exploratory, and engaging subject that inspires our children to develop creative and imaginative thinking.
Our Design and Technology curriculum is based on the Kapow scheme of work which is categorised into five areas: cooking and nutrition; mechanisms; structures; textiles and electrical systems. Pupils take part in designing, making and evaluating a range of different projects, developing their skills, vocabulary and resilience.
There are further opportunities for children to apply their skills and knowledge in Design and Technology through cross-curricular teaching, outdoor learning and continuous provision in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
